Shirley Diane Taylor, 16, died on March 9, 1968, as a result of a car accident in Spotsylvania.  Also killed in the crash were Spotsylvania High School classmates, Mary Lynn Dempsey and Alex McKenzie, and James Marvin Moore of Stafford.  Diane was a Spotsylvania High School sophomore , a cheerleader, and member of the school's French Club.  Among her survivors were her parents and three brothers.
